The team puts their hands together and starts off the game with their traditional chant, “Lions, you know!”

On Oct. 11, the volleyball team celebrated their senior night at a home game. Although the team lost all three sets, they all worked together. Over the last couple of months, the team has come together as one. They strived through every endeavor in order to make it to districts. With their goal accomplished, the team does not want to stop there. They plan to continue the strategy of playing to each individual’s strengths, in order to make it as far as possible and make the lion family proud.

Senior Stephanie Mohler’s dedication and commitment to volleyball was honored on Thursday night. She is the sole senior on the team this year. Many preparations were made to honor her time and contributions to the team. Her fellow teammates bought flowers and balloons, made posters, and framed a drawing of her playing.

“We win some and loose some but it is bitter sweet this is our last home game and I am excited because I have faith in our senior and hopes she learns from her mistakes,” volleyball player Sierra Sharp said.

All in all, the team has had six wins and ten losses over the course of the season and they are ranked fourth in the district. The Varsity volleyball team made it to districts and recently competed on Oct. 15 against Chamberlain. They won the first three sets out of a total of five and took home a win.

However, in their second match against Brandon on Oct. 16, they lost 3-0. Nonetheless, the lady lions have worked hard throughout the entire season to rise as a team. Every sport rides through wins and losses together as a team.
